Danelle Branch ‘23 is from Sanford, Florida, and graduated from Seminole High
School as an AP scholar with three distinctions and an additional AP Capstone diploma.
At Seminole High, Danelle was also a part of the Health Academy program, where
students had a pre-med-focused curriculum that helped students become better
equipped for a potential job in the medical field. Danelle was also a student leader of
FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), a member of two honor societies, and a
volleyball three-time varsity letterman. Along with her studies, Danelle was also a full-
time athlete as she competed at a high level of club volleyball for 6 years. She played
for the volleyball club, OTVA (Orlando-Tampa Volleyball Academy), and was able to
travel to tournaments across the country and even internationally to Calgary, Alb.
Canada, as her club team won the Canadian Nationals Volleyball Tournament in 2015.
Off the court, Danelle also spent her time in various clubs during her high school career
such as H.O.S.A (Health Occupational Student Association), Red Cross Club, and
“Yung Politicians”. Now, at Claflin University, Danelle plans to pursue a B.S. in Biology.
Currently, Danelle is a member of Claflin University’s Women’s Volleyball team where
she played a critical role in helping her team reach the CIAA playoffs in 2019 and also
reach the final four of the CIAA playoff tournament in the fall of 2021. She is also the
current secretary of the Pre-P.A.Organization at Claflin. Danelle is also a current
member of Chi Alpha Sigma, which is Claflin University's Chapter of the National
College Athlete Honor Society. Danelle was also a Most Outstanding Scholar School of
Natural Sciences and Mathematics Nominee in the Spring of 2022. After graduation,
Danelle plans to attend graduate school to pursue a career in Marketing/Social Media
Management.
