First and foremost, I am honored to be sitting upon an emerging leader board of a company I believe is
necessary in the trajectory of young men and women of color in the corporate world.
I have been blessed to have a mentor guide me through the transition as a student athlete to the corporate world
where people like me are underrepresented in management roles. However, I started the process late
and I wish I would have met my mentor earlier in my college career. As a member on the emerging
leader board, I believe I can contribute to Athleda Arise success by sharing my experiences and help student
athletes in similar situations have a smoother transition. Many student athletes have leadership skills
that will land them in management positions. With my experience as a high level student athlete and a
mid-level manager, I believe I can be a first point of contact to assist and guide young men and women
through their journey.
