Caron Washington is the DEI Lead and Vice President for JPMorgan Chase’s Advancing Black
Pathways Program (ABP). ABP is an initiative that helps the Black community chart stronger
paths towards economic success and empowerment targeting Business Growth and
Entrepreneurship, Financial Health & Wealth Creation, Careers & Skills, and Community
Development pillars. Caron leads the Financial Health & Wealth Creation pillar focusing on
providing financial health tools & resources for adults and students including wealth
management and homeownership.
Previously, Caron was the Director of Entrepreneurship and Business Development for the
National Urban League (NUL) where he provided support and technical assistance to 12
Entrepreneurship Centers across the country that provided management counseling, mentoring
and training services for businesses looking to start, grow, and scale resulting in job/wealth
creation and access to capital opportunities.
Prior to NUL, Caron worked in retail banking for 9 years developing the investment portfolio for
banking institutions and providing various financial solutions for personal and business
customers to help create the foundations for wealth building.
Caron has a deep commitment to community service. He is an active member of the Queens
Alumni Chapter, and Charter member of the Nassau-Suffolk Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi
Fraternity, Inc. as well as the past President of the Urban League of Long Island Young
Professionals.
In his spare time, he loves spending time with his wife Clarissa and family as well as watching
movies.
Mr. Washington is a graduate of East Carolina University with a BS in Exercise Physiology and a
Minor in Psychology. He also holds an MA in Urban Affairs from Queens College.
